Ron Jones moved to Arizona to study and receive his degree in Business Operations. While working at Auto Body Concepts, his career as a painter began. It was here that Ron was also introduced to Dick Adam, owner of Specialty Car Restoration. Dick’s passion for automotive restoration was ignited in Ron. Not long after the introduction, Ron knew he wanted to start his own shop.
In 1997, Ron and his wife, Vanessa, moved to Loveland and partnered up with his family at Broadmoor Heights Car Care. In 2007, Ron was hired to do a project car and realized he may need some additional help. He was introduced to Eric Peratt at Pinkee’s Rod Shop and Matt Halverson at Nice Rides Restoration who both instrumental in the Jim Bailey Firebird, SEMA project.

Gunnison

Growing up in his grandparent’s gas station is where Gunnison got his first taste of working and being around cars whether it was doing oil changes or details. In 2009 his dad, Ron, opened Ron Jones Garage and that is when his passion for custom cars really ignited. Since then, he has helped build many award-winning cars like Rod’s 50 Ford F1 that won Goodguys truck of the year in 2021 and a 1937 type 57s Bugatti that won best in class at Pebble Beach in 2021.
Gunnison started working in the auto industry when he worked at his grandparent’s gas station that they owned for over 50 years. He worked every aspect of the business from being a clerk at the counter, to filling propane tanks and running the mechanic shop in the summer.
Being around the shop his whole life, Gunnison has pretty much worked in every area of the business. Gunnison specializes in auction prep, paint correction/ceramic coating as well as anything mechanical related. Gunnison had the drivetrain out of his C6 Z06 about 6 times so he is somewhat of an expert on late model corvettes.
Gunnison also races his Z06, he has been in the top 3 in the country for Optima Search for the Ultimate Street Car and has won 3 Goodguys autocross titles.
Gunnison really enjoys working on his corvette in his free time. It has a very special spot in his heart as his Dad and him built it from the ground up. It started as a salvage title car sitting in a dirt lot in Sacramento to being a full-blown race car with many Ron Jones Garage touches. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends as well as traveling.
Justin

Justin got his start in this industry by a desire to build a hot rod, but didn’t know quite how to. He researched and practiced and figure out how to build what he was wanting, that experiencing turned into a passion so he pursued his career. He specializes in metal shaping, precision welding and design work for builds.
When not working in the shop, Justin enjoys hanging out with his wife and 2 boys, making art and building old style Ford hot rods in his garage, and drinking craft beer.
Jose

Working in this industry was the very first job I had. As the years passed I have learned so much and since the beginning I fell in love with what I do. While looking for a job, I was given the opportunity to start in this industry. Given the opportunity allowed me to fall in love. I specialize in detailing and preparing the cars that are brought in. I helped remodel a mustang 2016, restored, polished and painted it.
My hobbies are cars, detailing and cleaning them. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking.
Becker

Becker likes to work on antique cars and latest model cars. He specializes in body work and is also a mechanic. When not working, Becker loves to spend time with his kids.
Scott

Scott got his passion for working in the auto industry since he was a kid working on cars, going to car shows and drag races with his dad. His first full time job was at a full service Phillips 66 station working for Ron’s dad, Dave Jones. For the last 40 years Scott has been doing exhaust work, he’s had the privilege to do exhaust on many award winning cars and trucks. In Scott’s spare time he likes water skiing, playing pickleball and now taking up golf.
Jim

Jim’s life in the car scene started back when he was 15 years old, as did his love for Chevys. As a teenager the liked to race so after a few years of rebuilding broken engines, tranny’s and rear ends, he learned that maybe the custom cars scene was a better route. He has several award winning vehicles from altered 4 wheel drive mini trucks to his last 67 Chevelle that won several awards and was featured in Chevy High Performance magazine and the cover of JEGS magazine. Next phase is a fully built 67 Nova, to be completed in late 2021. From his first car to his lasted build, he has always tried to improve the looks and performance of them.
After raising a family of five and a 50 year career in another field, he finds himself back doing what he loves, working on custom cars and spending Ron’s money ordering parts.
Dale

Dale is Ron Jones Garage’s restoration mechanical specialist. He has over 40 years of experience restoring classics. Dale has restored over a dozen cars including a Pebble Beach entry. His passion for cars started at a young age when he worked with his Father repairing the family cars and building Karts. Right out of high school Dale started working at a GM dealership. His career led him to Crew Chief at SCCA ALMS Touring car.
When not working on cars, Dale loves woodworking and spending time with his wife, kids and grandkids.
Nico

Nico grew up in a family of gear heads, he got his start in the auto industry after he purchased 1 1979 Monte Carlo at the age of 17 and had to fix it every few weeks. Nico graduated in the top of his class at DeAnza College Automotive Technology program. He specializes in engine swaps, electrical and drivability.
Nico has been involved with many multi-million dollar restorations including cars for Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and Amelia Island.
Nico’s hobbies are anything car related and he is a Raiders football fan!
Jeff

Since Jeff was a kid, he has always been curious about how things work, fixing things on his own, etc. His Dad and Grandfather got him into cars at a young age, he watched and helped them build their own cars. Jeff grew up in a drag racing family, helping his Dad, Grandpa and Uncles work on their cars. Jeff’s first official job in this industry was an auto and diesel mechanic for the School District.
Jeff specializes in anything GM! As well as general automotive repair. Jeff is enjoying working on some of the coolest cars around and telling people about them.
Jeff’s hobbies are drag racing and trying to acquire all of his favorite cars.

Chris grew up working on vehicles with his Dad and going to car shows. Chris got his start in the auto industry when he was in the Marine Corps as a diesel mechanic. Chris now specializes in suspension and drivetrain. In his spare time, Chris enjoys building vehicles with his wife and kids, hunting and fishing.
Jeff

Jeff got his passion for working in the auto industry when he was in high school tinkering and modifying his 1987 KS Blazer. Jeff went to welding school at The Fab School after attending DU for mechanical engineering. Jeff specializes in motorsport fabrication. Jeff got the opportunity to attend King of Hammers while in welding school. Jeff’s hobbies are design, 3D printing and working on K5 Blazers.

Justin F

Growing up Justin watched and helped his Dad build and fix up old cars. Justin was a machinist for 13 years in industrial, medical production and prototype chops. While building personal cars and bikes in his garage, he realized this was the path for him so in 2016 he moved to Colorado to work at Pinkees and developed his skills as a specialist in fabrication, wiring, machining and assembly.
When not working on cars, Justin enjoys four wheeling, mountain biking and camping.
Justin and wife welcomed a new baby girl to their family in August 2022.
Mckay

Mckay has always loved cars. Being around them, driving them, learning about them. He thought since he loved cars, he might as well work on them. This is Mckay’s first job in the auto industry. He tried his hand in every aspect of it and landed in the paint correction and ceramic coating area. He also does our social media.
McKay enjoys playing softball and is really into music and film.

Jason grew up in a welding shop which started his interest in the auto industry. He has always been interested in the way mechanical device’s function; this led him down the path of a mechanic. Jason specializes in welding and fabrication, mechanic, hydraulics and pneumatics. When Jason is outside of the shop you can find him boating, camping, riding UTVs, fishing and hanging out with this daughter.

Jim’s passion for the auto industry started at a very young age through his father who always had cool cars and even brought him home from the hospital after he was born in a really cool 1956 Chevy Bell Air he had in high school, he continued with classic cars while Jim was growing up and he was helping him at home and going to all the Southern California swap meets before I was 10 years old (Jim recently turned 57).
Jim got his start in the auto industry by the continuing of what he grew up doing and loving. He tried to have a “real job” in the aerospace industry but he was sucked back into the car world as an automotive journalist working on titles like Sport Truck (1st job as an associate editor), The Rodder’s journal (freelance contributor), the Goodguys gazette (editor) and Rod & Custom (senior editor), still a contributor to Hop Up magazine.
Jim mostly specializes in final assembly and detail work, but he also gets involved in construction making specialized brackets, fitting components like air condition, custom brake lines and fuel lines and even tearing them down at the beginning to evaluate what parts and repairs will be needed.
Jim’s claim to fame would be growing up in Southern California he had a chance to meet all of his Hot Rod heroes and then working for the magazines he traveled the country and met so many great people and have visited so many great shops and events. Jim’s hobbies have never strayed far, he’s had his own project cars since he was 12 years old and currently is building a 1942 Ford sedan delivery and a 1929 Ford roadster pickup. Jim also enjoys collecting car magazines which he’s done since he was a kid. Jim’s greatest joys are his 3 kids and 2 granddaughters.

Jackson started working on cars with his dad and realized he enjoyed learning and working on automotives. At a young age Jackson traded his dirt bike for a 1965 Chevy Corvair that he is now restoring. Jackson would like to further his learning in fabrication and welding. Jackson enjoys video games, cars and skateboarding.
Joe

Joe’s passion for cars started when he realized he had a knack for painting cars which evolved into body work and fabrication. High School offered the opportunity to study with a trade school.
Joe’s eye for detail has made him very valuable to our shop. You would never know it, but as a kid, Joe modeled clothing for fashion shows put on by a local retailer. When not working on cars at our shop, Joe works on more cars in his personal shop.
